Sony’s new ICD-CX50 visual voice recorder
One of the ways I record my thoughts, particularly at trade shows, is with a voice recorder. Sony has a new one out, their ICD-CX50 visual voice recorder. This unit combines a voice recorder with a 1.2 megapixel camera, along with an LCD.

The CX50 does not come with removable memory, or voice to print software to convert your spoken words into written ones. It does come with a rechargeable battery, which can be charged through the USB cable or a wall adapter.
So, does it make sense to combine a voice recorder with a camera? Sure, although I always thought they were called video recorders
Seriously, at $400, I’m not likely to invest in one yet. I have a nice little digital camera along with a voice recorder, and so far I haven’t needed them to be in the same machine.
