For a better feel, try the jumbo...looks the same but fatter, ergo easier to grip. I switched back to fountain pens initially for the endless ink colors, but I 'contend' with them (constantly refilling and washing ink from my fingers) for the blissfully crampless ease of writing...no pressing, no cramping grip. Hero does make some 'better' pens, ie, heavier better balanced, and they always write well, usually without any breaking in.
